GOTM: Pitusa Girls

Introducing our July GOTM, our Pitusa girls! This month we chose to highlight some of our staff because they are the girls who keep Pitusa running and we couldn’t do this without them!

Meet and get to know a little more about our girls and what they do below...

BELEN

Meet Belen, she is our lovely intern who also happens to be our founder and designer’s younger sister. She helps the team in all aspects from the shipping department to the store.

Inca Abaya in Black

What is your favorite thing about interning at Pitusa?

I really love the atmosphere and community we have here. I love that I get a peek into all sides of the brand and am enjoying learning something different every day!

STEPHANIE

Pom Pom Necklace Dress in Red

Stephanie is part of our customer service team, she helps answer all your Pitusa questions and concerns.

What are some FAQs you receive and how do you answer them?

Some top questions I get asked are:

Q: What is the difference between the Pima and Inca styles?

A: Our Inca styles are made of our signature burnout fabric which means they can be sheer and depending on the color of the style, completely see-through. I always suggest viewing our Inca styles as more of a coverup but in some cases, nude underwear or a slip works perfectly.

Our Pima fabric offers more coverage. I always suggest the Pima if you want to style your look from beach to street!

Q: Where can we buy your pieces?

A: Our pieces can be purchased directly online at www.pitusa.co or in-store at our Flagship located in the Wynwood neighborhood in Miami, Florida. If you don’t live in Miami, I always suggest checking out our store locator to find a retailer nearest you.

Q: What size am I?

A: At Pitusa our sizing options are Petite and Standard or One Size depending on the style. Our sizing is also based on height, so if you are 5’3 or shorter I recommend at Petite and anything above I recommend a Standard.

SARI

Gypsy Dress in Light Pink

Sari is our Wholesale Manager and is the babe who handles the flow of our goods to our retailers!

You recently went to the Cabana trade show, what trends can we expect to see for upcoming seasons?

Tie-dye is coming back in a big way, we've already started to see it in some brands now but we can expect more of it for next season.

Neons are another trend I saw a lot, these bright colors will definitely become a closet staple.

You may see some of these trends in upcoming Pitusa collections ;)

CHRISTINA

Pima Inca Jumpsuit in Sorbet

Meet Christina, our Social Media Manager. She takes care of the day-to-day running of Pitusa's social channels amongst other fun stuff!

What are some things you look for when curating Pitusa's feed?

I love sharing user-generated content in our feed so I am always looking through our tagged pictures and #pitusa for any fun photos to feature. I also love incorporating lifestyle travel images to give our followers some travel and wanderlust inspo.

What are your favorite editing apps?

VSCO is my go-to for quick photo editing when I need to adjust the lighting in some images as well as add a filter to help the photo match the others.

For Instagram stories, I love using Over because I am able to choose from a variety of templates, font, graphic, etc. I like to revisit and edit what I've created in order to keep our stories looking consistent.

 MARISOL

Pima Sundress in Pistachio

Meet Marisol, our Accounting Manager! She manages and oversees the daily operations of our accounting and helps keep the office running!

You have been part of the Pitusa fam the longest, what has been the best part?

I’ve really enjoyed watching the company grow and seeing all the love for the brand build over the years. I am excited for more to come!
