POM POMS, TASSELS AND RUFFLES, OH MY – MIAMI SWIM WEEK

Miami Swim Week is always one for the books, with so many events unique to our hometown–where swimwear is part and parcel of our everyday. We love that we get to show the world how we integrate swimwear into our everyday, and do it Miami style – which always means a daytime party with laidback tunes and in Pitusa’s case, a healthy dose of pom poms (never enough pom poms).

Every time it rolls around and the fashion world descends on our beach town, we make sure to take the opportunity to throw a party and have a whale of a time. It’s obviously no secret that we’re beach lovers and have a severe case of wanderlust – so what better way to celebrate that than putting on our glad rags and getting down with our bad selves with a boozy daytime brunch. This year was even more exciting: we’re launching a new Bali-inspired collection designed by our very own Pitusa-Mama-in-chief, Clara Lago, so we went down to Soho Beach House and spent the better part of an afternoon sipping on cocktails and listening to a DJ set by Sam Blacky.

The revelers, clad head to toe in Pitusa ranged from Sports Illustrated model and social media star Rocky Barnes, models-turned-bloggers Helen Owen, and Jenah Yamamoto as well as Miami’s fashion girls-about-town and influencers, Iman Hasan and Miriam Ghandour. We sipped on a Pitusa crafted signature cocktails: there was a Simple Mule, the Maria Maria (we’re Santana fans) and Rose (it is summer, after all).

Our new swim collection has something for everyone: a hot-pink leopard one piece, a black bikini with pom-poms and an off the shoulder ruffled black one-piece: no matter what shape you may be or style you prefer, we designed it as a continuation of our already existing faves: replete with pom-poms, ruffles and pops of color. We never like to take ourselves too seriously and this swim collection is a reflection of that sentiment. It’s an exciting time for us as we launch swimwear and our guests paired the pieces with some of our classics like the Ibiza Mini Dress, $119, the Pom Pom Festival Dress, $77 and the Mini Pom Pom Necklace Dress, $130. Of course, there were some of our classic silhouettes also in attendance, perfect for throwing over our ruffled bikinis, like the Pom Pom Kaftan, $110 and the Peruvian Maxi, $143. Watch this space (and our website and our Instagram feed) for more on the new collection coming soon.
